(*) Height Adjustable Stairs: The top step/tread of any staircase can be level with the top floor, as long as it is as wide as the top floor opening. All models come with height adjustable steel top hook straps which allow for one extra stair riser (see # steps/risers above). Most building codes allow a 2° slope AND a ¼" variance between any riser heights, thus allowing a combined 2 ½" to 3" additional adjustment up or down. Once you know your vertical floor to floor height, choose the model above to match it.
Width Adjustable Stairs: Measure and/or determine the width of your stairs and cut same size step/tread you choose (from 2x's to the best hardwood and other fine stair finish products you'll find locally) to screw onto the perforated step supports. All step/tread materials you add to your WORKSTAIRS or Fast-Stairs stringers must comply with the materials load capacity.
2x10s or standard (1 1/16") hardwood treads: up to 36 inches wide
2x12s or 1¼" hardwood treads: up to 48 inches wide
Lifetime Warranty
Fast-Stairs products offer a lifetime warranty to the original purchaser against any manufacturing defects. This warranty does not cover problems caused by improper installation, nor does it cover labour charges to replace improperly installed stairs, including the use of load capacity non compliant step/tread materials. This warranty applies only to products purchased by you in un-opened packages for your own use and not for resale. This warranty is not transferable and applies to the original purchaser only.
There are no implied warranties, representations or conditions, except where required by statute; this warranty shall not extend beyond the term of the warranty applicable to your purchase. We exclude and will not pay any consequential or incidental damages, loss or expense other than product replacement. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights which vary by jurisdiction.
If a manufacturing defect does occur within the terms and conditions of this warranty, you will be supplied new products to replace the defective stringers, connectors and top hook straps. Subject to inspection, the replacement products will be of the same or similar design and quality.
